Go to User Management, select Add user, enter the person’s email, choose a Role (Admin or Trainer), then use the action edit button to manage their status and permission.
Overview
You will add a new user to Vocaliv, assign them the correct role during creation, and manage their status and permission at any time using the action edit button. This workflow is useful when setting up your team’s access or making updates to existing user accounts. The final result is a user entry with an assigned role and editable status and permission settings.
What you’ll need
To add a user to Vocaliv, you will need:
- The person’s work email address
- A decision about which role to assign: Admin or Trainer
- Access to User Management in Vocaliv
What Vocaliv does
When you add a user in User Management, Vocaliv creates a new user entry with the email address you provide and the role you select. Vocaliv stores this information and makes the user available in your User Management area.
When you later use the action edit button on a user’s entry, Vocaliv allows you to modify and save changes to that user’s status and permission.
What you’ll get
- A new user entry in User Management with the provided email address and assigned role (Admin or Trainer)
- The ability to edit that user’s status and permission at any time using the action edit button
- An updated user list reflecting all changes you make
How to do it
Step 1: Open User Management
Navigate to User Management. This is the central area where you add new users, view all existing users, and manage user access. You will complete all steps of this workflow in User Management.
Step 2: Click Add user
Click the Add user option. This starts the process of creating a new user account in Vocaliv and opens the form where you will enter the user’s information.
Step 3: Enter the user’s email
In the email field, type the person’s work email address. This email is used to create and identify the user account in Vocaliv.
Step 4: Choose the role
Select a role for the user from the available options. Roles in Vocaliv are limited to Admin or Trainer. Choose the role that matches the user’s responsibilities and access needs on your team.
Step 5: Complete the add action
Click the button or action to confirm and complete adding the user. Vocaliv creates the user entry with the email and role you selected. The user now appears in your User Management list.
Step 6: Access the user’s settings later
To manage or update the user at any time, locate them in User Management and click the action edit button next to their entry. This opens controls for adjusting the user’s settings.
Step 7: Edit the user’s status and permission
In the edit view, adjust the user’s status and permission as needed. Make your changes and apply them to save. The updates take effect immediately for that user.
What gets created
- A user entry containing the email address you provided
- An assigned role (Admin or Trainer) based on your selection
- A record in User Management that you can edit at any time
Any changes you make to the user’s status and permission through the action edit button are also saved and preserved.
What happens next
The new user appears in your User Management list with their assigned role. You can review the user at any time by opening User Management. Whenever you need to update the user’s status or permission, return to User Management, locate the user, click the action edit button, and make your changes. Multiple users can be managed this way, and each user’s settings are independent.
Tips
- Decide on the correct role (Admin or Trainer) when you first add the user, as roles are limited to these two options.
- Use the action edit button regularly to keep user status and permission settings current as your team’s needs change.
