Open your course in the editor after building the outline, place a quiz after the relevant chapter or at the end, choose a quiz focus, select chapters, question count, and difficulty, then generate MCQ questions with AI from a prompt, a PDF, or an existing question bank—or add them manually.
Overview
You will add chapter-wise knowledge checks or a final cumulative quiz to your course. This is useful for reinforcing learning, practicing application, or testing scenario-based reasoning. The result is an MCQ quiz placed directly in the editor where you choose.
What you’ll need
For AI-generated quizzes, you provide:
- Quiz focus: Memorization & Recall, Application & Practice, or Scenario-Based Reasoning
- Placement: chapter-wise (select specific chapters) or final quiz
- Question count
- Difficulty: Easy, Medium, or Hard
- AI source: a prompt, a PDF you upload, or an existing question bank
What Vocaliv does
Vocaliv AI uses your selected focus, chapters, question count, and difficulty, together with your chosen source (prompt, PDF, or existing question bank) to generate MCQ questions. It then prepares a quiz aligned to your settings and places it where you specified.
What you’ll get
Vocaliv produces an MCQ quiz configured with your chosen focus, chapters, question count, and difficulty. The quiz appears in the editor after the selected chapters or as a final quiz at the end of the course.
How to do it
Step 1:
Make sure your course outline is built. Quizzes are added after you have chapters defined.
Step 2:
Open the course in the editor. Navigate to the spot after the chapter where you want a knowledge check, or to the end of the course if you want a final quiz.
Step 3:
Choose whether you are adding a chapter-wise quiz or a final quiz. This determines where the quiz will appear in the editor.
Step 4:
Add a quiz at that location in the editor. You will configure what the quiz covers and how questions are created.
Step 5:
Select the quiz focus: Memorization & Recall, Application & Practice, or Scenario-Based Reasoning. This tells Vocaliv AI the kind of checks you want.
Step 6:
Select the chapter(s) the quiz should cover. For a final quiz, select the chapters you want included.
Step 7:
Choose the question count and set the difficulty to Easy, Medium, or Hard.
Step 8:
Choose how to create questions:
- Generate with AI from a prompt
- Generate with AI from a PDF
- Generate with AI from an existing question bank
- Add questions manually
Step 9:
If using a prompt, enter your prompt. Proceed to generate the quiz so Vocaliv AI can create MCQ questions from your input.
Step 10:
If using a PDF, upload the PDF. Proceed to generate the quiz so Vocaliv AI can create MCQ questions from the document.
Step 11:
If using an existing question bank, select it. Proceed to generate so Vocaliv AI can build the MCQ quiz from that source.
Step 12:
If adding manually, create your MCQ questions and answers yourself until you reach the selected question count.
Step 13:
Generate the quiz. Vocaliv AI applies your focus, chapters, question count, and difficulty, then places the MCQ quiz in the editor at the position you chose.
What gets created, saved, generated, or preserved
- An MCQ quiz placed after selected chapters or as a final quiz
- AI-generated MCQ questions (when using a prompt, PDF, or existing question bank)
- Your quiz settings: focus, selected chapters, question count, and difficulty
What happens next
The quiz appears in the editor where you placed it. You can continue adding more chapter-wise knowledge checks or create another final quiz by repeating the steps as needed.
Tips
- Use chapter-wise quizzes for frequent knowledge checks and a final quiz for cumulative assessment.
- If you already maintain a question bank, choose the existing question bank option to quickly generate a quiz with AI.
